About Movie

Downsizing imagines what might happen if, as a solution to over-population, Norwegian scientists discover how to shrink humans to five inches tall and propose a 200-year global transition from big to small. People soon realize how much further money goes in a miniaturized world, and with the promise of a better life, everyman Paul Safranek (Matt Damon) and wife Audrey (Kristen Wiig) decide to abandon their stressed lives in Omaha in order to get small and move to a new downsized community - a choice that triggers life-changing adventures.

Great concept but moderate execution 9 months ago

The concept describes in the movie was great however it did not explore the concept fully. The first half was great however from the second half you jst lose interest. Pretty good for a one time watch

worst movie! 9 months ago

No proper direction, there is not good decent dialog writing.. it's like improv .. started the move with 15 people in the theatre and only 3 were left when it got done. Just proves directors like step

Misleading and excellently made. 9 months ago

About Downsizing: I think the film is much more about how we view survival and much less about the gimmicky take on combating apocalyptic consumerism from a typically America-centric point of view. Matt Damon's presence confused me, and made the film appear, just for that little bit, pop and family-oriented. Like a good family drama based on a slightly science-y subject for a change. But that doesn't last. The film is a lot of stuff happening across the world, and like I had tweeted before, it scatters a lot of hope and provides arresting degrees of it, making it, to my agnostic mind, almost sacrilegious to indulge. Personally, Kirsten Wiig and Jason Sudeikis were wasted but it could be an inside friendship thing, so I'll let it be. Anyway, I really liked it but I'm not sure my mom would. : D
